2023-24 Student Trustee Applications Now Available
All application material is due March 1
The University of New England offers an extraordinary leadership opportunity for two students each year to serve as full voting members of the University's board of trustees, attending all regular trustee meetings. As such, they provide a connection between all of our student populations and the board and have real input on this overarching governing body that guides the future of UNE. Student trustees not only provide student perspective to the board but also build connections between and within each campus through their work with all student government organizations. Student trustees are selected by a committee of their peers and administrators. For more information and complete application material, click here. If you have any questions, please contact Graduate and Professional Student Affairs, Proctor 02.

Multifactor Authentication for Students on March 21
Dear Students,ÔÇ»
With the complexities of today’s digital world and all that we do online, whether remotely or on campus, it is UNE’s responsibility to keep your information as secure as possible from malicious and nefarious activity generated from cybercrime.ÔÇ»
As mentioned in an email sent to students in December, UNE is moving toward a system that uses MultifactorÔÇ»AuthenticationÔÇ»(MFA), a process where an individual uses one or more devices to validate their identity rather than only relying on a simple username and password.
When you log in to the Okta Portal, you will see an option in your User Settings to begin setting up your MFA.
To help you get started, you will need to do the following:ÔÇ»ÔÇ»
- Search your phone’s App Store for the “Okta Verify” appÔÇ»
- Log in to Okta from your computer and click on your name in the top right of the window to navigate to “Settings”
- Scroll to the bottom of your settings where you will find your “Extra Verification” options.
- Set up to authenticate via the Okta Verify app or SMS. We strongly encourage using the app to ensure access to the system when cell service is intermittent.
You can find a full guide to setting up and using MFA by going to the UNE website, clicking “Students” on the top left of the page, and then click “Multifactor Authentication” under “Resources.”
All students will need to be set up for MFA by March 21. However, we strongly encourage you to begin this process as soon as possible and not wait until the last minute. Ensuring that you have set up your MFA will minimize disruption to your classroom instruction before the MFA system is officially turned on March 21.ÔÇ»
ÔÇ»If you have any questions or have any difficulty setting upÔÇ»multifactorÔÇ»authentication, please contact the IT Help Desk below. Thank you for your assistance and cooperation in completing this process.ÔÇ»
