The purpose/mission of the Graduate and Professional Student Association (GAPSA) shall be to: 1. Represent Portland Campus graduate and professional student interests and issues to the President, Provost, Deans, student government and other University administrators 2. To provide a forum for discussion of issues, the exchange of information and development of ideas between the students of the academic Colleges of the Portland Campus and the University as a whole 3. To advance the quality of student life and the professional education of graduate and professional students 4. To participate in the formation of policies and practices regarding graduate and professional students 5. To foster a broad sense of community among students in graduate and professional programs 6. To gather and disseminate information of interest to students in graduate and professional programs 7. To organize, promote and conduct activities beneficial to graduate and professional students 8. To provide a mechanism of structure and guidance to registered and recognized graduate and professional student organizations/clubs 9. To foster interdisciplinary engagement between the students of the academic Colleges of the Portland Campus and University as a whole.
